M.Tech (Environmental Engineering)


The course has been designed to meet the requirements of industry, consultancy services, academic and R & D organizations related to Environmental Management, treatment of effluents, control of emissions and remediation of contaminated environment.

The M.Tech programme is of four semesters, comprising two semesters of course work and two semesters of project work. Admission to this programme is based on the scores in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
M.Tech. (Communication Systems)


The focus of the M.Tech. Degree programme in Communication Systems is on a thorough and in-depth study of Communication theory from a signal processing perspective as exemplified by courses like Advanced Digital Signal Processing, Coherent Optical Communication, High speed Communication Networks and Error-Control Coding. A broad theoretical base is provided through courses like Linear Operators and Integral Equations, Probability and Stochastic processes and Signal Detection and Estimation. The students also undergo laboratory programmes on the design and implementation of communication subsystems based on DSP modules and fibre-optic devices and components besides devoting their final semester entirely to the project work.
M.Tech. (Computer Science)


The M.Tech. Programme in Computer Science is aimed at providing a comprehensive overview of the recent developments in the various frontier areas of Computer Science including Computer Architecture, Software Systems, Parallel and Distributed Computing and Networking and Web Technologies. To provide a sound basis, sufficient amount of theoretical input is also given to the students. Another feature of the programme is that the students will have ample opportunity to carry out software development using the modern computing facilities available in the campus.

To attract good students 5 GATE scholarships are offered to eligible candidates.Students who successfully complete the programme are employed immediately as Systems Analysts, Software Engineers or Computer Engineers in the industry. Alternatively, they can pursue higher studies in institutions of repute in India and abroad.
M.Tech. (Industrial Engineering)


This course intends to shape the students in tune with the advanced Industrial Engineering tools by imparting essential imports both on theoretical and practical exposures during the 2 years tenure of the study by the inputs in advanced topics like TQM, Computer simulation, Modeling and analysis of Modern Manufacturing Systems and Planning and Control of Manufacturing Systems.

M.Tech. (Power Systems)


This Course aims at training graduate engineers in the field of Power Systems. This course deals with the state of the art techniques in Power System analysis, stability evaluation planning, reliability and forcasting. The course Also covers subjects on high voltage DC transmission, Industrial electronics and controls, Power electronics and drives, wind and solar energy electric conversion systems and advanced topics in micro processors and micro controllers which are very much needed for today's power system engineer. Projects of practical relevance in these areas of carried out in the final semester of the course.

M.Tech. (Structural Engineering)


Structural Engineering is a core specialization in Civil Engineering. There is a growing demand for specialists in Structural Engineering. The aim of this course is to fulfill this need. Practicing engineers will find the course very useful and interesting. It will enable them to update their knowledge in the field of structural behavior and design. The curriculum has been so designed as to give exposure to the students on areas of structural analysis, design, detailing and construction. The course also includes the use of general purpose application oriented computer software in the field of Structural Engineering using finite element analysis and optimization techniques. The students have ample scope for placement in construction industries and educational institutions.

M.Tech. (Transportation Engineering and Management)


The course includes subjects such as Transport Management Economics, Transportation and Land Use Planning, Financial and Personnel Management, Traffic Engineering and Pavement Design. Computer knowledge is imparted in the areas of CAD in Transportation Engineering, Computer Simulation and Geographical Information Systems. Almost all the subjects have IT content and hands on training on computers will be given. The students have wide scope for placement in Multi-National companies specializing in Transportation Consultancy, Govt. Organizations such as Highways and Railways, Educational Institutions, etc. Professionals working in the transport field can also upgrade their knowledge with the latest techniques.
