How to apply: Candidate can choose any one of the three modes to apply


Obtain Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from listed branches of Bank of Baroda, listed Study Centres of AIMA and from AIMA, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

Obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1050/- (One thousand fifty only) in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Register online at websitewww.aima-ind.org/matdec11 alongwith the DD details. Detailed procedure is given on the website link.

How to take the test: Candidate can choose any one of the two options


Paper-Pencil Test or Computer Based Test (Online Test)


• Paper-Pencil Test will be held on 04 December 2011. The paper-pencil test timing is 1000 – 1230 hrs. Reporting time at test centre is 0900 hrs


• Computer Based Test (Online Test) will be held from From 10 December onwards in different time slots at specified test venues; subject to number of candidates registering for Computer Based Test.


Candidate can choose any one of the following modes to apply.

MAT Score is acceptable even to certain other Institutes for considering admission of candidates for Post Graduate Degree / Diploma programmes, besides the above Institutes, subject to specific cut-off marks and other admission parameters.


Q. How many Management Institutes participate in MAT. Do they keep on changing or remain the same? Is there a same admission criterion for each & every Institute? Are they recognized, by AICTE? Do they have hostel facility? What about the total fee?

Four Digit codes for Management Institutes/University Departments accepting the MAT Score are given in the List of Participating Institutes/Universities as MI Code. There are five blocks consisting of four boxes each given in the Form. Fill the codes of those five institutes only where you have applied or are applying for admission. Important Notice: Applicants are advised to check the approval/recognition status of various programs directly from the concerned Authorities/ Institutes/ Universities. (Note: No additional fee is to be paid for filling these 5 choices.)

The number of participating Management Institutes may vary. The number of MI’s keeps on changing from test to test. Admission criteria for every institute is different. All MIs participating in MAT are either AICTE approved or affiliated to some Universities, for further information you may contact the MIs/Universities of your choice. The list of various Management Institutes /Universities is available in MAT bulletin along with the admission notification. It may be worthwhile to go through the brochure of the Management Institutes for detailed information.


Q. What is the validity of MAT score?


A. Validity of the MAT score is for that particular session for most Management Institutes, but for AIMA-CME’s PGDM & PGDITM programmes, the score is valid for one year. For more detail, please visit our website:- www.aima-ind.org


Q. What is the last date of submitting filled in MAT OMR Form?


A. Last date for submission is mentioned in the MAT bulletin. The last date also appears in the notification released by AIMA in various national & regional newspapers.


Q. Do applicant has to buy the prospectus of the MI’s opted by him/her?


A. For applying to MI’s it is suggested that the prospectus of the MI’s opted should be bought.


Q. Is MAT held all over the country what about a person living abroad? Can he/she apply for it?


A. MAT is conducted in all major cities in the country and in leading cities abroad. For further clarification, see MAT bulletin or contact our information centre.


Q. Do we get a separate Admit Card for appearing in MAT?


A. Candidate has to download his/her admit card from aima website 7 days before the Test Date with the registration form number. No separate admit card is mailed to candidate.


Q. Is there any age bar for it? Any Job experience required, to appear in MAT?


A. There is no age bar. Job experience is not necessary.


Q. Is appearance in MAT necessary for getting admission into PGDM/ MBA programme ?


A. Yes, MAT is necessary for admission into PGDM / equivalent programmes offered by AIMA or other MIs who participate in it.
